It was very rare or unheard of that we produce products that are related to sports scientific researches being patented and Malaysia specifically National Sports Institute of Malaysia hold patent for it.
I would like to share what National Sports Institute (ISN) CEO mentioned in his Facebook: National Sports Institute has taken one step forward as the leader of Science, Medicine & Sports Technology when the two products of the ISN has managed to attain the intellectual property rights which are the Strategic Analysis Tool for Badminton (BStAT), a computer programme created by Mr. Kokum Gayanath Weeratunga (Sports Technology, ISN) and another one is Designers Sports Yoga -9 (DSY-9), created by Master Sivalingam Wan Daiyar Veerappan (Sports Psychology, ISN).
The awards were handed to the Minister of Youth and Sports, YB Khairy Jamaluddin by the Chairman of the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia, YB Dato' Haji Abdul Manan Ismail before being handed over to the Chief Executive Officer NSI Dato' Dr. Ramlan Abdul Aziz at the Monthly Assembly organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Putrajaya recently.
