Coach Azraii Moves To Perak

The Malaysian League 2012 season is dropping the curtain and we will witness another finals with some interesting features in in. When the season ends, teams starts preparing for the next season and from a Facebook page I found this. Coach Azraai Khor has moved to Perak. He has a very successful historical stint with his home state team Kedah when he led them to a double treble which is a feat very difficult to be achieved even from our most successful team Selangor.

With his coaching architectural and engineering success in football with Kedah land him as National Coach for Junior players. As history was created, whenever a successful coach at state who move up to National Football coach it means he is coming to an end of his career as a successful coach. Datuk Hj Ahmad Shafie, Cikgu Norizan Bakar, B. Sathianathan some names I remember, all created their downfall when they coach the national team. Azraai Khor experience the same. With the latest development from our senior football teams' performance and Datuk K. Rajagopal's statement that no other coach is as successful as he is, will he too fall like other coaches. FYI, Datuk K. Rajagopal's statment (whether from his mouth or not) has been commented at great length by facebookers. The latest are comments of his teams performance in Hong Kong receiving negattive comments even they beat HK 3-0. 

So, is the National Team a haunting ground for successful coaches?

semalam, saya tertarik dengan idea mereka untuk mengembangkan pasukan pelapis dan

 berdasarkan rekod saya, saya amat teruja untuk mengendalikan pemain Perak dengan

 idealogi baru ini." beliau berkata dengan teruja.

"Secara kebetulan Perak adalah juara Piala Presiden, kejuaraan bawah 21 tahun, dan Juara

 Piala Belia 2012, iaitu kejuaraan bawah 19 tahun, dan mereka juga merupakan finalis 

Sukma 2012. Mereka mempunyai pasukan pelapis muda yang amat berbakat."

"Saya telah cadangkan agar kami mengekalkan struktur seperti semasa di Kedah apabila

 kami mencungkil bakat pemain yang cemerlang seperti Khyril Muhymeen dan Sabre Mat 

Abu."

"Barisan muda mereka begitu kemas dan saya yakin akan potensi mereka."

"Saya ingin membina falsafah yang baru dan berusaha ke arah yang lebih cemerlang

 dengan Perak."~ azraai khor.







When Azraai coached Negeri Sembilan, he drive them to a Malaysia Cup champion in 2011

but he fail to create another winning streak as what he had done with his homestate, Kedah. 

With his move to Perak, anda a new team to him maybe he can create another history for 

himself.

ATM or Kelantan?

This weekend will be the finale of 2012's season for football in Malaysia when Kelantan played Malaysian ATM for the coveted Piala Malaysia at Shah Alam. 

Who will keep the cup till 2013 will be decided on 20th October 2012. ATM made a comeback after their last appearance in the final in 1966 and this will be their third Finals. ATM emerge Runners-up in both their past Finals. Can they make history in 2012?  We will all see the outcome. 

Kelantan on the other hand won first ever championship in 2010 after defeating Negeri Sembilan 2-1 at National Stadium, Bukit Jalil. What will be interesting is that when Kelantan made their historical win, the team was under K.Sathianathan and this time he will lead ATM. He had created history for himself with Kelantan and can he recreated history with ATM this year? 

I like what coach Sathianathan said after his team made it into the final. "I want them to enjoy the finals".
